i like both designs but it would be very hard to code it in html and css because of the internet explorer

We have experience with Internet Explorer bugs, don't worry the html will be very similar to the image in Firefox, Explorer, Konqueror, Opera, etc.

Can I be a cheeky chappy :D and ask what software packages were used to make these designs? I code HTML from scratch, have touched on Dreamweaver and have used Serif Drawplus. I think that if you make a redesign contest a better and more fluid feedback with the participants is needed. Another suggestion is to make a web page in videolan site (not in the forum) with all the redesigns, each one with a link to the author so the runners up will not have been working for nothi...

The logo we used is the videolan logo. We made another one (only a reinterpretation, not a new one) but Antoine said he prefered videolan official logo.

And from the point of view of the design do you think there are better designs?

We made it very simple trying to mantain the code but we cant do it a lot more complex and "visual".
