I did select them during installation. As I saidn with an old version it works but not with the new v 2.0.x

So it seems that Vlc 2.0.1 does not install the activeX plug in for IE8 nor the mozilla plug in for Firefox 4 nor for Chrome ?

After trying, it doesnt, only an older version (like v1.1x) does...

I think I can help. I had same problem, and uninstalling-re-installing even with the delete cache preferences options choosed and jittery sound still. I manually deleted the folder on C:\Users\**YOURNAMEACCOUNT**\AppData\Roaming\vlc and re-installed and all went fine. The **YOURNAMEACCOUNT** must be...
