Hi, I'm using Lubuntu 12.04. Recently i updated my OS from Lubuntu 11.10 to 12.04......Because of that VLC got updated to 2.0...because of this i cannot see videos...VLC takes lots of memory; movies are playing really slow, hangs the system etc. I want to go back to older 1.x version...How can i do...

None of those scripts are working for me, sigh if only GTSDLL had included VLC as a compatible player, before it's creators abandoned it...

I have also been having this problem too, I would love for there to be an option in VLC, that if checked, would show the filename I gave the video, instead of the "encoding filename" that avidemux spits out.

(I am NOT the encoder of the videos I watch, I just download them)
