Thank you for the help. I read through that thread and it looks like it suggested switching resolution. I wasn't sure if this meant in the System Prefrences or in the VLC App, so I tried both. It didn't fix or change anything. But when I changed the VLC Preferences Output module to Mac OS X OpenGL.....

I have been trying to use "Version 2.0.1 Twoflower (Intel 64bit)" to play a 35 second video that has been saved as .ASF (5.5 MB) and resaved as .mp4 (6.2 MB). Audio files play OK. Trying to play any Video makes the application quit. Trying to display any picture makes the application quit....
