Does anyone have an update on this issue?

I am also happy to volunteer access to my Mac mini g4 via VNC if needed.

I am also having this problem. Downgraded back to v 1.x. However my iPhone app vlc remote now will not work as it has updated and now requires version 2 to work. Appreciate the VLC development, however to run two updates (Mac/iphone) and now to not be able to use both products is annoying. Hoping fo...
