Re: Click Video To Toggle Pause/Play

PotPlayer works for HDR using SVP with a few setting mods: https://www.svp-team.com/wiki/SVP:Daum_PotPlayer I would prefer using VLC if they had these 2 options: - Pause and Play video by clicking video part of the window. - Click and Drag video by clicking and dragging the video part of the window...

How on God's green Earth does VLC not have a play/pause with mouse click option?

Every single video player known to mankind has an option to pause the video with a simple click of the left mouse button. And yet even after all these years VLC has been around, it STILL doesn't have this function? Unbelievable. Can you guys *PLEASE* add this to VLC?

Re: Remember window position/size after closing from a strea

Presumably that's to do with Livestreamer killing the VLC process, so it doesn't close "gracefully" where it would write the current position etc. to a config file. I had a look at the Livestreamer options, seems you can ask it not to the kill the player when a stream ends: http://livestr...

Re: Remember window position/size after closing from a strea

Go to: Tools >> Preferences And (assuming you are in the "Simple" settings mode), in the "Interface" tab untick "Resize interface to video size". Then click "Save" and close and re-open VLC then it should stay the same size regardless of resolution/whether a ...

Remember window position/size after closing from a stream

Hi everyone. Quick question.... is there a way for VLC player to remember its window size and position when it closes from a live video stream? I often use it to watch live streams from twitchTV and youtube, but when the streamer ends the stream and VLC closes, it doesn't remember the size and posit...

Re: VLC upscaling...More options for upscaling and sharpness

There are, if you disable overlay, you can change the scaling.

For the sharpen, no, one option only.
Thanks for the reply, but where do you change the scaling? Exactly what category/sub-menu is it in?

Use this LUA script bro. http://scientificswede.blogspot.se/2012/05/extending-vlc-with-lua.html Works on my dvds without issues so far. Only tried on Vision of Escaflowne but no problems so far. That srpos gimmick works too but not on dvds and I still need to do more testing. I have used the exact ...

VLC upscaling...More options for upscaling and sharpness?

I have to say Jean, and to the rest of the VLC devs.... I am extremely impressed with the way my dvds look using VLC! You guys have done a wonderful job with this player! However, I'm curious to know how this player does it's upscaling/resizing, and would like to know what are all the options availa...

Re: Remember position

I wrote a plugin that does exactly this. The one annoying thing with it is that you have to manually activate it from the menu every time you start VLC. I also couldn't login to the Extensions site for some reason so here's the link to my blog where it's posted: http://scientificswede.blogspot.se/2...

New version (0.2) of this plugin just works. http://code.google.com/p/vlc-srpos-plugin/ Maybe developers should include this plugin in the official VLC-package? This plugin does not work on dvds. Is there an alternative that actually works when p...

VLC and Anime...why does it look so damn GOOD?

I have recently started watching anime on my PC for the first time in over 5 years. I have chosen VLC as my player of choice and couldn't be happier. I honestly can't believe how good VLC makes anime look with just the slightest tweaks here and there. I have a BENQ W6000 DLP front projector and even...
