I'll keep changing secondary to primary until the real problem is amended (which I suppose it will in future VLC updates).

That will most likely take a long time, since we have no clue why this happens.

Known issue. It should work if you set the screen you want to use for playback as primary device. It worked! However that's not the optimal solution, since the 27" screen is only for video playback and I don't work on it, primary device should keep being the laptop screen. Anyway, I'll keep ch...
