Nope, I tried the latest version and still no fix for this. Right now I use the latest release from version 1 and in the meantime I lost hope that this is ever gonne be fixed. Too sad that this seems not that important to the developers, guess I have to use vlc 1.1 a little bit longer.

I'm looking for a way where the window is the same size as the video you are playing, though limited by the width I set in preferences. Again, maybe I'm just too particular with what I want... the playback controls are seperated from the playback window and the X and Y coordinates of the window are set to 0 so that the playback window is exactly in the upper right corner. I used exactly the same settings as in the old VLC-Version...but these are not working in the new version.
