For some reason, when I play a MPG video file, I don't hear any audio unless I switch to track 2. I have to do this every time I start VLC. Is there a setting I can use to get VLC to start with the correct audio track automatically selected?

I'm using VLC 2.0.1. Under the tools menu, there is a track Synchronization selection. Clicking on it brings up an adjustments and effects dialog box. How do I use it to change the synchronization between the audio and video tracks of a mpg file? If I change something in this box does it affect only...
