I also am not getting any sound with VLC 3.08 for some reason. I decided to install VLC 2.03 that I still have and it works perfectly, Sound , video and all. I even installed VLC 3.0 and still didn't have any sound. I always save version for this reason. I didn't care for the actual video quality ei...

Why doesn't someone say it has to go in "roaming" in App Data. You can't just put it in app data folder; there are several folders in there. However, when you type %appdata%, it does take you to "roaming". Then it worked for me. Just a little technicality to mention.

However, this doesn't answer my question of why mp4 videos will not slide easily or really not at all in most cases; whereas WebM works very nice due to using less processing power, I imagine.

Actually, I just read another article and WebM is under "VP80 + Vorbis (WebM) when you drop a video in the VLC converter, then under "Profile", it has the WebM option.

I would like to know this too because I am having a hard time using downloaded mp4's as learning tools because the video will not slide easily; whereas I found "WebM" to work very well. I don't recall this problem with mp4's before. I have a decent computer with an i7 process with GTX 670 ...

I just redid the videos so that it only has 1 audio track. I'm not sure why Roxio created a mpg video with 2 audio tracks and one is blank.
