Got everything working...

Ok....Finally fixed it.

To get vlc running with video and sound on the linux client I had to compile from source with:

./configure --with-ffmpeg-mp3lame

For some reason the rpm I got from freshrpms didn't want to work...

No problems here with fedora and vlc...FC4 or FC5

vlc is switching to PAL no matter what...

I just checked again...every time I start vlc, it switches the tuner back to PAL....WTF?? If I try to switch the tuner back to NTSC while VLC is streaming, it crashes both VLC and XAWTV.....or the tuner itself....

BT878 fc4 help please

I have been banging my head against the wall over this for quite some time. I can't seem to get a picture from my tv tuner. I get a green screen or a blue screen, but no picture....It looks like it is in PAL mode when it should be in NTCS or maybe it is reading the signl from the composite input rat...
