Is there any way to serve this as metadata in a outgoing HTTP stream? To send it to the player for display?

Outgoing Stream Metadata

I'm using VLC to stream a music playlist as an audio stream. The stream listeners can never see metadata from the playing songs on the playlist. They see the name of the stream only, but beyond that, nothing. Is there any way of translating the file playing information through the stream to the list...

I find video dshow and stream completely kill 2.0.0 and 2.0.1 for me, so Ilm uninstalling those versions, going back to 1.1.5.

Still haven't gotten this to work. Any other ideas?

Replace :sout with --sout. And I don't know where you got that 'input_stream' crap from. I simply copied the " input_stream " from another thread user who claimed to have it working. I've tried exchanging each and both instances of :sout with --sout with no change in results. I'm still on...
