Yes, it happens to me too. And are missing also some video context menu (Audio, Video, Subtitles menus)
It always happens when I double click a video file. VLC starts and play the video but with those problems

If I stop and play again the video (without close VLC) the bugs disappear

If I open VLC double - clicking on a video file VLC opens and starts to play the video but the some elements of the video contex menu are missing.
