I'm aware that installing a new version is not removing/upgrading correctly in some cases, this should be fixed soon.

The MSI will probably be the default installer for VLC 2.1 but for now it still lacks some important features (like a proper upgrade path). I do not recommend using it except for testing purpose.

Then it's clearly an issue with your connection since the file is perfectly valid on this mirror...

Take a snapshot with VLC and then resize the image to the resolution you need using Paint, Gimp or whatever.
The VLC snapshot feature will always be at the full video resolution, regardless of the video output size.

This is the only option for now, although we may consider it for a future release.

Are you sure you're not running low on internal memory?

I don't think you can do that on Android. Use sockets and send an Intent to VLC.

It's based on the device location.
VLC for Android is currently not distributed in the US for various reasons. Probably later this year though…

You don't have to test the nightly builds because I'm now able to reproduce the bug with your vlc-qt-interface file.

Lots of errors in that MSI by the way. Open it in wise, go to components and there are a LOT of reds. While this can be fixed by setting them with "Set as key", it looks bad and there are a lot of them.

Can you share the list of errors please ?
