I was hoping to be able to stream audio input from a sound card but vlc doesn't acknowledge the sound card as a capture device. Perhaps it isn't directshow compatible. I have a PC with an Osprey capture card; I will try it on there.
Can someone tell me if it's possible to stream live audio from the Windows version of vlc. I can see lots of references to doing it from the Linux version but not from Windows. The vlc wizard only seems to offer streaming from a file or network source.
Does anyone know if is possible to change the UDP port number that VLC uses for streaming. I've changed the port numbers in the RTP stream configuration screen but it still streams on the default port number of 1234. Is there another place to set this - I can't find one !
I am multicasting from a Windows Server 2003 using Media Services 9.0. I can view the multicast using Windows media Player and Real Player but VLC refuses to connect to the stream and display it.
