OK, mea culpa. I've played with the options, switched to older full screen and it's relatively ok now.

(I don't like opening imediatelly to fullscreen, force of habbit I guess)

Waking up a 5-year old thread will not do anything. Notably since now you can have 2 different fullscreen ways in preferences.
