I'm having exactly the same problem on Windows 8 and the same VLC versions. Does anyone have any ideas to solve it?

I am a therapist and wouldn't even know how to start creating skins for this program. Does anyone know if something like this is available?

You can copy it with DVD Decrypter to your computer, and then burn it with Nero or Imgburn.

That's probably an XP problem, because in Windows 2000 it's displayed in a solid block.
