VLC do not support .sub subtitle format ?
If it's VobSub, then no.

I've heard that developers are working on it.

Using 0.7.2 VLC on MacOS X, when I try to play an MPG (compressed with Sorensen codec and mono audio) and use the "faster" option, the video plays great, but the audio stops completely. Is anyone else having this problem?
I have this problem in VLC 0.7.2 and Windows 2000.

How can I direct the P2p to the .exe instead of the installer?
That depends on witch p2p you're using. You need to look in the preferences, in the video preview section and if there is a browse button, look for the file "vlc.exe" in the directory where you installed VLC.

Maybe the P2P program is opening the installer instead of the .exe program file.

Could you try: http://download.videolan.org/pub/testing/vlc-0.7.2-test2/ ? There are still problems in the skins2 interface. When I open it and try to play a video, vlc crashes. If I switch to it while playing the video in wxwindows, I get 2 video windows: the skinned one and the normal one. The vi...

You can access the skins2 interface with the following command-line: 'vlc -I skins2'
I tried that, but it asks me to select the .xml file, and when I select it, it crashes.

Thanks in advance.

The skins2 interface is not compatible with skins made for the skins1 interface. This probably explains your 2nd problem. Then how do I access the skins2 interface? BTW, it is very unlikely that the skins1 interface be responsible for the video not working properly. Isn't it the same with the wxwin...

Skins not working in 0.7.2 test1

With the skins 1 interface I can only play audio, when I open a video file it crashes, and when I switch to skins 2 and select the xml file, vlc closes unexpectedly, without message or warning.

I think the skins need to have more controls in the right-click menu.
For example, to open the messages window and the quick file open in the gui.
The skins2 interface doesn't even have an option to switch the interface back to wxwindows.

VCD Menu?

I made a VCD with Nero, and used the option to make a menu. When I play it on VLC 0.7.1, it doesn't show the menu, but the video plays fine.

Is this a bug, or VCD menus aren't supported?

Thanks in advance.

Bug in OGM subs

I have some ogm files with muxed subtitles, and when I play them, the current subtitle doesn't disappear until the next one appears. For example: 1 00:01:01,760 --> 00:01:04,120 Hello. 2 00:06:04,280 --> 00:06:06,240 How are you? There's a space of 5 minutes between each line. When I play the file, ...

Also if you files are really .srt, then there shouldn't be tags in them. That's not how that format works (as far as I know, at least) I've tried the .srt subtitles with tags in other players and they work (the player shows the italics). other formats have tags in them, and these are ignored by vlc...

Hi,

Subtitle tags like bold, italic, underline and color tags would be great, because .srt subtitles show like this:
