Re: How to play a specified video track with command line?

Does anyone know what changed in that old version? VLC still opens a new window to render the alternate video track in 2.1.5.

I see that https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/2407 is still open, so I think 2.1.0 had some other change that addressed this issue.

Premature "end of file" for VCD

I have a file from a VCD that terminates in the middle of playback. It's probably a bad disc, but playback works in avplay, ffplay and MPC-HC. I uploaded the first 10 MB of the file here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/fgsl7m4pycicyv6/21-sec-eof.DAT. If you guys want it on another file host, I'll...

Re: Capture Card Only Works When "Default" is Selected

Yep, that was it! I'll go report the bug: the interface must be trimming whitespace from the device name when it generates the MRL. EDIT: Oh, looks like it was already reported here https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/3220 but it was marked as a duplicate for some weird parsing issue at https://tra...

Capture Card Only Works When "Default" is Selected

The capture card works fine when I select "Default" in the menu or leave the command line MRL "parameter" :dshow-adev blank. I get the following console output as expected when it binds (is that the correct term?) the capture card: dshow debug: found device: AVerMedia AVerTV Audi...
