I have 4GB RAM, Is it possible to use RAM cache instead of HDD cache for streaming videos? I don't need to VLC to remember more than 3 minutes (about 360MB for a Full HD video with high bitrate of 16Mbps)... It think it would be better for the 'HDD health' for user who view lot Hi-def streaming vide...

I use VLC 2.0.4 and this issue is annoying. Is it going to be fixed on VLC 2.0.5 or we have to wait to VLC 2.1?

Solved for me using the latest NVIDIA driver (306.96), using VLC 2.0.4 on Windows 7 64-bit.

I have this issue too playing each kind of file (MP4, WMV and etc.). VLC 2.0, Win7 x64 SP1. No suggestion here solved it. Moving back to 1.1.11.

Sound volume delay occurs also with Direct2D and Direct3D output (with Direct3D video doesn't work properly)... Are there settings I can change to avoid it? I move to VLC 1.1.11.

There is also a delay in sound volume after changing it (when I use OpenGL)... I think I should downgrade to 1.1.11.

OpenGL works fine on VLC 2. But is it the same video quality? What 'Default' uses?

I think this is a serious bug in VLC since I didn't changed the settings and my hardware seems to be fine.

VLC 2.0 plays HD videos very slow, sometimes it freezes and you have to kill the process.
