Re: how to do a stack trace?

Thanks Felix, now I have gdb installed. I tried to do a backtrace but I get lot of messages similar to this: Reading symbols for shared libraries warning: Could not find object file "/Users/fpk/Desktop/videolan/vlc-2.0/64bit/modules/audio_filter/.libs/libdtstofloat32_plugin_la-dtstofloat32.o&qu...

how to do a stack trace?

In a bug report I was asked to provide a proper threaded stack trace. How to do that on Mac OS X? I found that gdb is used for that but it needs to be compiled first and I can't find a compiled version of it. Another program is lldb which is part of Xcode. But I'm not able to download Xcode because ...

Re: how to use teletext included in stream?

It seems like teletext is unusable in MacOS X interface. You're not able to see other than the default (100) teletext page. Here's the feature request in trac that someone opened but nobody replied to it: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/4908 I guess when decoding and displaying of the default t...

Re: audio and subtitle language isn't force during play

@nkoriyama great, this solution works for me. I had to add more languages there, like "eng,fr,de,none" because every time a stream doesn't contain any of the specified languages audio, vlc disables audio completely. but I suppose this is expected, since this is just a temporary solution fo...

Re: audio and subtitle language isn't force during play

Ok, sorry, I've found this thread and it seemed to be the same problem that I'm experiencing. I didn't realize that mkv and mpeg-ts are handled differently.

Re: audio and subtitle language isn't force during play

For me in vlc 2.0.1 it still doesn't work correcly in every case. VLC prefers persian language even if there's english audio available too. I've opened a bug: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/6710

Re: [2.0] UDP streaming not working

*facepalm*

This was already reported for not working in RC1. But you still haven't fixed it for the final version.

Re: VLC 2.0 RC1 Nightly bugs / issues

Use RTP.
A few posts above I posted that RTP doesn't work. Even before those other people started reporting that UDP doesn't work too.

Re: VLC 2.0 RC1 Nightly bugs / issues

In RC1 on Mac I'm not able to play multicast TV streams anymore. Your input can't be opened VLC is unable to open the MRL 'rtp://@232.232.65.53:5004'. Check the log for details. main error: cannot join multicast group: Protocol not available main debug: no access_demux module matching "rtp"...
