I tried today the RC1 of VLC 2.0.0 and noticed that "Full HD" videos are running very laggy with the default settings, also enabling/disabling hardware acceleration and a different render-mode didn't help. On my default player (VLC 1.1.11) Full HD videos are running without any frameskips ...
