After much battering of heads, I've got it to work.

The configuration was a bit long winded, but if anyone wants to know, I'll be happy to try and explain it to them.

We did, but VLC refuses to play the stream due a issue with authentication. EDIT Actually, that is not strictly true. It's because we can;t change the access port for MMS in VLC. If i could change it to 554, i'd be half way there. I can get it to find the stream, but it now gives me a message about ...

Tried the nightly build and that does exactly the same thing except is paused for a good deal longer (about 30 secs) before crashing out at the same point.

I didn't even know that existed....i shall give it a try and report back.

I had this problem and all was replace mms:// with rtsp:// and it worked fine.

I am however having other issues, but that's for another post
