It seems like the only way to get VLC to save a file name into the vlc-qt-interface.ini file in this location is by way of opening it using the Media/Open file command! If I start VLC playing a file by double-clicking it then this file is not listed in the recent list and not written to the ini file...

Is there a setting that can make VLC NOT save its configuration so it can later be reloaded?

Does it matter if I am on Windows7X64?
I have specifically NOT installed VLC to the Microsoft Program Files tree in order to avoid UAC problems.
Now I have shut down the VLC again, waited and restarted still without a trace of the setting that should be there to activate the function.

I downloaded SRPOS and copied the dll:s to the C:\Programs\VLC\plugins folder as described in the readme inside the zipfile. I tried the video output module thing but there was no DirectX 3D setting. Tried a few similar ones but the error persisted.
Then I tried the GPU acceleration setting and it was not enabled so I checked it and this solved the display problem!
