Re: DTCP-IP Support in VLC

Thanks for your reply. Do you know of any software for PC which can stream these files? Preferrably free ;-)

DTCP-IP Support in VLC

I have a Panasonic Freeview HDD recorder which also allows stored content to be shared via DLNA. I have been using VLC to stream video from the DLNA server to my PC and then transcoding it into H264 files. However, some of the files are copyrighted and cannot be streamed to VLC (they show all fuzzy ...

Re: Video becomes garbled when playing H264 - MPEG-4 AVC Sou

I tried this when I got home but the size of the raw file is extremely large. What length video do you need to test? I'm fighting a small monthly cap at the moment.

Re: Video becomes garbled when playing H264 - MPEG-4 AVC Sou

That is correct. I get that address from WMP12 and then use it to stream in VLC. If I use the VLC stream to file utility and select raw file will it change the stream in anyway? Would this produce the same stream as using either of the above utilities? I haven't made it home to check either yet.

I'm not familiar with either of those and I am not sure what protocol DLNA uses to pass streams between server and client. I will try wget when I get home from work.

Re: Video becomes garbled when playing H264 - MPEG-4 AVC Sou

This is the full log. The PVR is Freeview Certified and subject to a lot of copy right protections so I currently have no available option to directly copy the stream. The closest I can get is to stream the video to file using VLC but that includes the garbled video and I cannot see that being parti...

Video becomes garbled when playing H264 - MPEG-4 AVC Source

I have a Panasonic PVR which is able to stream any program which I have recorded off TV (New Zealand Freeview DVB-T) and some of the play fine in VLC (both V1.1.11 and V1.2.0RC1). Others play the video fine but with no sound. And still others play the sound fine but the video starts fine but then be...
