I tried it with audio card disabled, with video card disabled (only on board graphic) but no difference...VLC keeps freezing.
Any ideas what I could try else?
I'm not sure if this is a driver issue.
It would be my first guess but why is the Windows Media Player able to play all the files correctly?
My next step will be to enable/disable devices selectivly in the device manager in order to find out if a certain device is the troublemaker...
