Has anyone managed to solve this issue? I'm having similar problems with vlc 1.1.3 on debian squeeze PPC (although I had the same issue when I tried 1.1.12 version). I can see some audio resampling going on there (see the log), and I'm not sure why this is happening and if that could be the culprit....
