vlc can't even handle music in ubuntu - it hangs the whole os, requiring a hard reset. Seems no other media player does this.
It's only worth fixing this in windows, because using vlc in ubuntu (on my pc) almost guarantees requirement of a hard reset, so I wouldn't use it.

On windows, 1.1.11 hangs after stopping in fullscreen. These are basic, not the precise conditions to reproduce. The difference from ubuntu is that the os remains operable. Older versions didn't have this problem.
