allow audio visual effects in active-x control

It would be nice if you could use the active-x control to display the various audio-visual effects when only an audio stream is played....

adding ...audio-visual... to addTarget has no effect.

(I tried lots of different notations)

give access to metadata in shoutcast streams from active-x

It would be nice to have access to metadata in (shoutcast) streams (as already displayed in the status bar in the vlc player) from the active-x control

something like this doesn't work :

document.vlc.getVariable("meta-artist");

it also doesn't work for me...

I'm using the active-x control inside a web page so can't use the moving files around solution...

in vlc-0.8.6-svn-20060502-0001-win32.exe, the radio now keeps playing ok. so, I think, that all that is needed now, is an option to set the tuner mode : which is now hardcoded to : in dshow.cpp hr = p_TV->put_Mode( AMTUNER_MODE_TV ); these are the possibilites : AMTUNER_MODE_DEFAULT = 0x0000, AMTUNE...

add support for fm radio via directshow

Hello, Currently in dshow.cpp is hardcoded : tv mode. hr = p_TV->put_Mode( AMTUNER_MODE_TV ); Is it possible to add a command line option to change the mode ? I would like to use the FM Radio part of my Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2 Encoder Also, when I set the FM Radio mode manually, via the tuner dialo...

Hi DJ, I already use these directshow options successfully to get tv from the same device.... but, see picture of tuner dialog above : I can imagine that the fm frequency goes into --dshow-tuner-channel but the problem is the 'tuning mode' that needs to be switched from tv to radio I can't find a di...

Hi DJ,

thanks for helping,

But that option doesn't make a difference (other than not showing a black rectangle anymore)

sound still stops after 15 seconds

and of course, if there is no way to set the radio mode/frequency via the command line then it isn't going to work anyway :D

Hello,

just f.y.i.

there is no difference using vlc-0.8.5-test3-win32.zip

* you can only select radio, via tuner dialog box, not command line.
* radio sound plays fine when selecting 'play locally' in the wizard, but stops after 15 seconds.
