changing volume is different now :(

with this new 2.1.1 vlc, when i want to change volume by keyboard of mousewheel, it changes every 6%. 100% --> 94% --> 88% etc etc

before the steps was much bigger, something like 100% --> 85% --> 70%

how can i fix to this old stepsystem?

i just wonder if it is possible to zoom like in MPC?

who is responsible for vlc? can someone transmit my message to him? that we want to zoom manually like in MPC with one push of a button...

Just check available hotkeys in VLC menu: Tools > Preferences > ( Show settings - Simple ) > Hotkeys: - Zoom: "z" - Toggle autoscaling: "o" Do they work for you? when i press o once, then i can change some zoom settings with z. but its nothing like MPC where you can manually cha...

Sorry it does not work for you. It works for me; I tested it before posting just to be sure. Please give your VLC version number and your operating system, in case that matters, and let's wait and see if a more experienced person has a suggestion.
i have latest VLC 2.0.4 and vista 64

Zoom in VLC is done with the Z key. Press Z to zoom larger and shift+Z to zoom smaller. If you repeatedly press Z it will cycle thru all available zoom settings, 1:4, 1:2, 1:1, 2:1 ( i.e. one-quarter size to double size). Look under Tools / Preferences / Hotkeys for all manner of keyboard controls....

in media player classic (MPC) it is possible to manually zoom with num key 9.

so i wonder if this is possible with vlc?

A-B only works correctly when file has correct timecodes, VLC can demux that file correctly and the file doesn't have too long keyframe distance. MKV files will work better in VLC 1.2.0 i tested vlc media player 1.2.0-git-20110930-002 , still same problem? what do you mean with " VLC can demux...

EDIT: i found it, but it doesnt work?

when trying to loop a scene e.g. 1min, it only loops the first milli second? 0.1 sec over and over again? (the video is a hd mkv film)
