One option I would like to see, is an option to get a version of VLC similar to the version for Fire TV, to work on raspbian. The main reason is that it has a TV friendly UI, as well as the full compatibility with SMB shares within a single UI.

Has anyone found a solution to this issue, still happens with 3.0.4 where h.265 video will freeze every few minutes while audio continues to play. This issue requires you to use the seek bar to go back a few seconds to get the video playing again for another few minutes.

for me the hardware acceleration causes the audio to lose sync with the video, other than that it works smoothly with most formats.

I reproduced the issue then made another log. the line E/ActivityManager( 233): ANR in org.videolan.vlc (org.videolan.vlc/.gui.MainActivity) is located on line 1207 of the code and everything before it is visible.
