Hello there, I can verify that a newer DVD player (USB-powered) plays OK 'Cars 2' with VLC. The only problem is a long delay (maybe one minute) before starting the disc. I downloaded the latest GIT version (vlc-2.1.0-git-20120217-0011-win32), and it seems to work better on this situation (no freeze at the end).

I will test it on more videos, and I'll update this thread.

the 1.1.9 shows this behavior as well (freezing at the end of video if played full screen on external monitor), but not so often as 1.1.12.

I will try to download the latest version, to see if it works.

Maybe it happens only on Intel GMA chipsets under Windows XP??
