Whenever I try to set up any file associations, video lan crashes and stops working. I go to tools, preferences, set associations, select my formats and it just crashes. I have videolan configured to show the video titles at the start of playing them. While it works for mov files I cannot get it to show movie titles when playing avi files. Is there something else I must do? Thanks.

Hello, I have two questions about VLC. I want to use it with my gphotoshow pro screensaver exclusively.

1 How do I set preferences or associations for gphotoshow screensaver?

2 Is there any way to configure how long the file name is displayed when playing a video?
