when i go back into the folder with my videos in it the names are all there still but i can't change it in VLC

no dice on that, i deleted it but it didn't do anything

i have been trying to get an answer for a while now and i need help. i have videos on my computer and the names are correct until i put the videos in the VLC playlist then the names change, is there a way to fix this

some of the names of files i put in the playlist changed when i put them in and when i try to change them to what i want them to be and what they are supposed to be VLC changes them back, how can i stop this

whenever i change the name of a file in the playlist and exit out it changes back to what it was befire i changed it, is there a way to correct this
