Newly formatted FAT32 (long version) on Windows 10. 16GB thumb drive. Add 4 .mp4 files. Plug into Fire TV $k Stick. VLC (or Android ?) adds a bunch of directories/folders. All seem to be empty. Windows see them. Can only be removed by Administrator.

Is this expected behavior ?

Short answer is "You can't get there from here !"

Use VLC on a Windows, Mac or Linux computer to "Convert/Save" and create an MP4 file. Copy yo a thumb drive, attach via USB OTG cable to you Android device and Android VLC should be able to play it.

Better, after installing the 64 bit version. Now some of the "splash" screens after clicking play are not fully "painted" and there are dozens of warnings in the log file.

Win 10, VLS 3.0.8 Ventari The disc is a "backup" copy.

DVD menu comes up, select "Play" and that is pretty much all she wrote.

The disc is a copy and I only copied the "main movie". The original does work.

Any work around to get it to autoplay, other than copying the entire disk and shrinking it ?

Same problem with Media -> Open Disc -> Disc -> Play

It does play from Media -> Open File -> drive -> VIDEO_TS (folder) -> VIDEO_TS.IFO

I used Magic DVD Copier (V9.0) to make a copy of the "Main Movie" (Meet the Robinsons) but VLC can not auto start it. I have to add the folder on the device to the playlist.

Any suggestions

So it appears that you need twolame to output audio to an MP3 file. Is there a window 7 x64 binary available for direct downloading and where to I install it so VLC can find it ?
