Problem with vlc beta 1.2 and h264 streams

I compile daily vlc 1.2.0 from git master and I have noticed that, since few days (maybe one week), vlc beta 1.2 shows only a black screen when viewing any h264 stream from freebox cable channel. I am using currently latest 1.16 libx264. As I compile also ffmpeg on a daily basis, I was not sure beca...

Re: SUSE 11.4 64-bit KDE -- WON'T START WON'T COMPILE

Well I have to agree that an openSUSE distribution upgrade is quiet a new way of upgrade and lead most of the time in some packages uninstalling, if yast dependency solver has not left the road. Sometimes this process screw up because there are to many packages to take into account, which are not pa...

Re: SUSE 11.4 64-bit KDE -- WON'T START WON'T COMPILE

Remy, can you explain to me how your answer is helpful to this user ? You're a very experienced and skilled developer, but you do not know the openSUSE distribution. LSTOIC : each distribution has its own instructions when migrating from one version to another. You have to follow precisely : http://...

Re: VLC doesn't get subtitles automatically anymore

Do you have verified that "subtitle file autodetection" in subtitle/OSD configuration is checked? Next, you can check that #sub-autodetect-file=1 is in your ~/.vlc/vlcrc config file.

If still not here, then close vlc, rm ~/.vlc/vlcrc and retry.

Re: http://jt.france2.fr/20h/ debian etch

Re: stale vlc-0.8.6f player [RESOLVED]

You must configure vlc options with NO Portable GNU threads library and NO State Threads Library enabled : vlc 0.8.6f does not manage correctly object locking. Whether you use portable thread or state thread library, you got a deadlocked playlist. So, I have changed packager's vlc.spec according to ...

vlc 0.9 svn #22584 - service discovery compilation error

Since last 10/11/07 last service discovery code updates [svn #22534 to svn #22543], vlc source does not compile. I am using latest libupnp 1.6.0 (same problem with older 1.3.1). Here are the traces : gcc -std=gnu99 -shared .libs/libshout_plugin_la-shout.o -Wl,--rpath -Wl,/home/gilles/vlc-0.9.0/src/....

vlc 0.9 svn #22060 - no suitable interface module [solved]

Still stuck with this problem on opensuse 10.2, KDE 3.5.7 R74.2. Every module can't be loaded because of " undefined symbol: vlc_entry__memcpymmx " error. This anomaly come along with a very big rpm package size (58 MB). This has already been discussed at http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopi...

Re: vlc 0.9 - no suitable interface module

All problem gone ! I have upgraded this sunday afternoon with a KDE 3.5.7 maintenance release R74.1 for openSUSE 10.2. Very strange, but now rpm packages are now 12 MB sized and there are no more " no suitable interface module " errors and missing symbols.

thanks for the team.
