Re: No sound

My patch was applied.
You can play "No sound" video with sounds after VLC-1.2.

If you want to play now, you can try nightly build:

Re: VLC 1.3.0 won't open

It seems there are many things that can cause one to stumble during the Windows build; and doubtless a cross-compile would be easier; but I don't have a linux machine available at the moment. I stumbled over and over, and finally gave up my win32 build on Windows machine :( Now I use Mac OS X for b...

Re: No sound

There is a patch for this issue, and this issue is not only on Mac, but all platforms. Applying the patch to my own build (Mac/Windows), I can play the video file "Tim's No sound.mov" that you uploaded. Of course, I can play it properly with sound. I'll look again the patch and will send i...

Re: 1.2.0 cue file problem

I just got this problem on Windows. Both local path (e.g. d:\somepath\cdcimage.cue) and UNC path (e.g. \\machinename\somepath\cdimage.cue) have this problem. I found how to avoid this problem, and made a patch. But at this time, maybe ad hoc solution... I'll send a patch to vlc-dev, if none is set t...

Re: 64bit VLC

All Win64 binary vlc-1.3.0-git-* has been broken since the end of November. I already reported this issue to trac, and vlc-dev. I build vlc-git with MinGW-w64 v2.0.1. VLC doesn't run, instantly finishes, same as Nightly builds. I have three develop environments for building VLC for Windows : MinGW, ...

Re: Question about get_length and get_time

Found my answer... no time information available from VLC for TS files. So, disregard! On VLC 1.2 or later, you can get the length(ms) and get current time(ms). I worked for this future and already it was committed to the trunk tree (1.2.0 or later). how to calculate and set correct position of vlc...

Re: No sound

It's well-known problem of faad (aac decoder).
The decoder often fails when audio channel are changing. For example Stereo -> Mono -> Stereo.

This issue has not been fixed.

Re: VLC 1.3.0 won't open

This issue is not fault of installer.
x64 version VLC has been broken since 20111129.

I recently reported this issue to the issue tracker and vlc-dev mailing list.
VLC developer comfirmed this issue but it hasn't been fixed.

Re: Scripting on Mac? Where do scripts go?

I share your problems with getting lua scripts work on MAC OS X. There is no information to be found about this... been searching for quite some time aswell... Anyone know how to get lua extensions working on OS X? Are you using vlc-1.2.0-git nightly? If so, I sent a patch today and it will affect ...

Re: Compiling VLC with Xcode 4

I compile trunk with Xcode 4.x since early this year, so this definitely works. Please provide terminal output so we can help you.
Hi Felix,
I can now compile trunk with Xcode 4.1 and I can run vlc-1.2.0-git on my MacBook Air!
Thank you for replying.

Re: Compiling VLC with Xcode 4

I compile correctly with 3 and 4
I read Wiki and I can compile VLC 1.1 branch with Xcode 4.
But I cannot compile VLC 1.2 trunk. Is there any trick to compile with Xcode 4?
