I don't know how to check the audio codec being used unfortunately

I've been trying to watch a series on VLC and whenever I open the file the audio would always pop and crack and have either a high or low pitched buzz, I was wondering if there was any way to fix this issue, I know it's not the file because I watched the same episodes on a different media player and...

I actually just fixed the issue, i was running an older version of VLC, I think it was 0.9.2, I uninstalled and re-installed 1.1.11 and it cleared my problem right up

I'm having a similar issue, whenever I try to open a .ogm file it either will not open at all, or if it does VLC crashes almost instantly
