Of couse I did turn on s/p dif I did tryed out all settings which are possible in vlc player like s/pdif auto or on With Plex, XBMC, Mplayer it is no problem at all Am I the only one which has still problems with new vlc??? Sorry but VLC 1.1.12 release still does not work for me.
I tried Delete_Preferences and made a clean install.

Same here since Lion 10.7 I don't get DTS or Dolby over spdif toslink via VLC (Audio Settings are all right) Maybe it is a MAC Issue but I use Plex 0.8.5 and it does play DTS and Dolby over spdif. In Snow Leo, Plex did find 5.1 settings Automatically. Now in Lion I have to use the Option "Force...
