as permy knowledge you can play utube vedios on the vlc . but u r saying that u cant do it so check the version of the vlc you are using at present and try latest once

it may be the problem witht the web site or with your syystem itself check both and try again

to crop ans streach one can use the option 'a'. use it in the keyboard in the time of vedio playing itself

change the subtitles language by that u can do the changes for your subtitles or try downloading the english version and try it
