On the latest nightly builds for 1.1.2 and 1.2 64 bit my 5.1 sound channels (on AC3, not sure about DTS) are still being swapped around (centre channel though the back speakers etc) on OS X 10.7.1.
Confused; am I missing something. Glad that yours is working - sounds promising at least?
Same old problem with the 5.1 sound channels being mixed up on OS X 10.7.1? At least here (same system which worked fine on 10.6.8 - this has been reported a lot in other threads)? Sorry just seen that TheSmokeMonster has reported that the "other" audio issue has not been fixed either, hop...
This is a known problem with Lion chaps; hopefully VLC 1.2 will help (Apple's DVD Player and QuickTime Player use a different API so don't suffer from this problem, some people thought OS X 10.7.1 would solve this as it incorporated some audio fixes but no luck) http://forum.videolan.org/viewforum.p...

Yes, sounds like we'll have to wait for the channel swapping problem to be fixed, other issues may be sorted (again?) however: http://tidbits.com/article/12429 “Resolve an issue that may cause system audio to stop working when using HDMI or optical audio out.” This sounds remarkably like the fix in ...
10.7.1 may have addressed the other optical problem where they had no sound (which some people had got around anyway, not sure) but AFAIKT no change for the other one.
