New version plus wiping my settings fixed it. Not sure what went wrong, but it's working now.

I'm using VLC v1.1.7. When I play back a DVD is blocky, but only around motion. When I play it back using windows media player it works just fine. Any suggestions? MKV playback is fine in VLC with no errors, so it's something specific to DVDs. Any suggestions why VLC would be freaking out and window...
