I made a screenshot - but I guess I'm not allowed to upload it.

The width of the "extended settings menu" window (parameter names on the left) is not adjustable.
As a result some text items are not readable. (Probably not all languages are affected.)

Does it show in the playlist Windows BEFORE playback?

It shows perfect when opening my personal .xspf playlist (but this one gets lost after closing VLCMP).
It NEVER shows the title when opening from the media library (ml.xspf) neither before nor during playback.

Yes, it is possible that certain VLC settings are lost during update/reinstall.

It's a pity that you tell me something about the actual state.
