have you tried this?
system preferences > accounts > login items
and then erase the program from the list...
sorry n00b answer but it might help if you havent tried it...?

VLC Autocapping for .gifs?
Is ther any way to set it so that it autocaps? I know it can do it on windows, but that doesn't really help me... If not, can someone tell me a good freeware that can autocap? Thanks!
