Arranging audio tracks

Is there a way to make sure VLC selects dts sound while playing a movie. It always selects ac3 and I am required to manually select dts from the audio track menu. I've already selected force to find dolby surround and to use s/pdif.

Re: DTS by default

Is there a way to arrange the tracks so that dts is first on the list? I'm hoping some one can help me with this as I am playing movies for my apartment complex this weekend... Thanks!!!

Re: DTS by default

Yes, english for both.

Most of the time vlc seems to select dts automatically; unless, ac3 is above dts in the audio channel menu. Is there away to re-arrange the menu order?

If I have an .mkv file that contains both ac3 and dts how do i make sure vlc always selects dts?

I've already selected 'use s/pdif when available'
