I am on a Win 7 x64 machine and am looking inside c:\program files(x86)\videoLAN\VLC. In this folder there is a vlc.exe file, but no vlc.ico file.

When viewing the appearance of the vlc.exe file, or for that matter, and file associated with vlc player, the cone is present.

I have exactly the same issue. I have uninstalled VLC player, downloaded the newest 1.1.10 player, and then re-isntalled. After doing this my icon is also missing in the taskbar. Other than that, it seems to be working fine. Suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated, however it is not a bi...
