Re: dvblast FE_SET_TONE failed error

For starters, you should go to the right place instead of coming to the VLC forum -> http://mailman.videolan.org/listinfo/dvblast-devel

For the error you're getting I really don't know what's wrong. It seems driver issues. My dvblast works perfectly. Consider TBS boards.

Re: Analog H264 Hardware capture

I recently used an ImpactVCB to capture analog video and transcoded to mpeg2video. In the same hardware specifications the cpu load was around 50%.

I still have some tests to run. I'll try to post the final solution if I ever find one.

Thank you,
Nuno

Analog H264 Hardware capture

Hi, I'm currently trying to capture an H264 feed but with no luck so far. This is the command line i'm using. Perhaps i'm not using it the right way. How can I tell VLC that the video input should be the output? I tried vcodec copy but VLC says it does not know any fourcc? copy codec. ./src/vlc-2.0....

Re: Streaming Multiple Files Over RTSP Using Multiple Instan

You misunderstood my answer. In commercial use you would need to pay royalties I think. But I'm not 100% sure about this. Perhaps someone else can help you better on this matter.

Re: Streaming Multiple Files Over RTSP Using Multiple Instan

About the limits: Well it depends on what you want to do. For personnal use I think you are clear to use VLM however you like, at your own risk obviously. For commercial use there are a lot of implications, specially the MPEG Systems (Transport stream) and MPEG-1/2 or whatever video codec you might ...

Re: Streaming Multiple Files Over RTSP Using Multiple Instan

If you're using windows I can't help you much. Try checking VLM Configuration (Ctrl+W) in All at Settings, there you have VOD option with import/export option. You can try and enable telnet also.

Re: VLC 2.0.5 vs VLC 2.1.0 streaming - ImpactVCB-e

Audio sync is not the problem here. Audio and video sync are ok, the big problem is that the audio stops after a while. I've been looking at the audio control. I still didn't have time to increase the kernel debug and find exactly what reaches the driver and what happens during those stops. If I cou...

Re: Streaming Multiple Files Over RTSP Using Multiple Instan

You will need to use VLM to stream several files in one VLC instance. If you start several VLC instances you will bind only one process to 8554. Use telnet server to connect and to load several movies if you want. Or use VLM conf. --daemon --ttl 12 -I telnet --miface ${BINDINT} --rtsp-host ${ETH1}:$...

VLC 2.0.5 vs VLC 2.1.0 streaming - ImpactVCB-e

I'm currently using a ImpactVCB-e capture device from hauppauge. It works under kernel 3.5.0 using cx23885 card number 3 (HVR 1250). I've tested this board with 2.0.5 and the video works but no audio. * video works fine I then tested 2.1.0 (the lastest in this date) and the audio works but no video(...

Re: VLC 2.0.3 Twoflower: Audio is choppy when watching Analo

I can confirm that i was having almost the same problem and the vlc-2.1.0-20130116-0014.tar.xz snapshot fixed the audio problem. But the video was nowhere to be seen exactly with the same configuration.

Re: DVB Subtitles in TS file

That seems to be a really simple explanation and right to the point. I wasn't actually transcoding but only multiplexing the input. As I had only DVD (.sub) subs that seemed to work, now it keeps outputing that is waiting for PCR streams. I guess thats where the sub/srt come in wrongly! mux_ts mux d...

Re: DVB Subtitles in TS file

So it seems. I've been using VLC 1.1.10 but it keeps adjusting the rate. I've read that it adjusts the PCR which is really bad as the original is ok. The targe.ts has a lot of hickups as a result. "mux_ts debug: adjusting rate at" I need to understand why VLC does this. I also found someon...

DVB Subtitles in TS file

How can I mux a sub/idx or srt subtitle into a TS movie file through the command line? I've been using VLC GUI 2.0.1 and 2.0.0, both seem to work, but when I watch the stream and select the subtitle, nothing seems to work.

I believe this is a different matter then. Obviously I have VLC installed. I don't know if you checked the log I provided. But I'm just trying to multiplex .sub/idx subtitles into a TS program without any luck.

Re: Green shadows on subtitles

I've tried this with 2.0.1 and 2.0.0 but it's not working. I've converted an srt to sub/idx and did not work at all. How did you create the DVB subtitles? with the command above? The Target file is created but keeps with 0bytes in size

Re: RTSP/VOD: Stream a unique udp/rtp TS stream

How can I turn off the demuxing? I want to stream directly the TS input file without the need for demuxing and muxing into mp2t all over again. This way the program may actually improve its performance. However I can't seem to find anything concerning this issue. However if the above is not possible...

Re: RTSP/VOD: Stream a unique udp/rtp TS stream

Nevermind the "setup Test2 mux mp2t" worked. But the --rtsp-raw-mux=ts is not working. What does this command do? Ouputs directly the input file without transcoding? My problem now is that vlc is demuxing and muxing a TS file. :-|

RTSP/VOD: Stream a unique udp/rtp TS stream

I want to stream a unique ts stream in RTP or UDP but for some reason VLC keeps dividing the input TS file into several tracks(ESs). I've used --rtsp-raw-udp=ts but with no luck. I tried also setting "setup Test2 mux mp2t" but the server does not send any info about any video or media cont...

VOD: RTSP SDP only loads 1 video and 1 audio with TS file

Hi, I'm currently having some difficulties trying to decode all the VLC immense code. The thing is VLC initially loads a new file and avformat knows there is severall audio channels within the TS file. However, when loading, it only loads 1 audio and 1 video stream, hence the RTSP server only has 2 ...

Loading telnet interface before loading vlm.conf

I'm currently using mmonit to monit VLC but the problem is that VLC loads every movie (around 50) in the buffer before loading the telnet interface. Monit after a minute or so checks that telnet port is not listening and restarts VLC. How can I change this modules priority?

Re: Rtsp setRate()

Live555 Rtsp server that I'm using can do rewind, for that I'm sure because I used it's RTSP testing tool. I'm just curious on how Vlc can't support this as it's based on Live555 rtsp client library. For this experimentation I'm using my laptop and currently at home so it will be impossible to give ...
