I write DSP audio plugins and visualization plugins for Windows Media Player, using Windows SDK. Is there a way to do the same for the VLC player, if there is documentation for that? I use Visual Studio for my development.

Here's my wish list for new features: 1. Step forward and backward one frame while in pause mode. 2. Option for app to begin in pause mode (showing first frame) after video file is loaded. 3.
