I am trying to start vlc using "/Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/VLC", having logged on as the user with limited privileges. It does not work giving the error "permission denied". I gave that user full priviliges and still it does not work. Where else should I change privileg...

I am trying to stream audio/video from the webcam. Unfortunately can not find the solution to stream audio (getting only video).

I have a webcam that has h264 embedded. Using MacOS and latest VLC to stream.
As I see now, I am not getting video in h264 (so that will not to transcode it that will speed up streaming) rather just raw video.
Is it possible to do with qtcapture module now? Can it recognize from the camera?

I have tried different ways to get video with better resolution, using Mac OS. I am capturing from web cam, using "qtcapture://", but getting the video with resolution 160*120 only. Is it the limitation now or it is possible to fix it ? If necessary, I can provide the log messages from VLC...

I am trying to stream from a webcam on Mac. In the options, I see only one: stream from "iSight". I am able to stream from my webcam, using that option.
My question is whether it is the right way to stream from webcam?

In addition, it works with VLC 1.0.*.

How do you know that vmem RV32 is ARGB and not BGRA? I have the same feeling with RV16, but was too lazy to go through the whole source code to confirm that.
Also, I believe that for the libvlc 1.0.* it sends the output in the (A)RGB.
