VLC + Asus Xonar D2X = Help!

I have now tried everything I can think of, I have tried older and newer versions of VLC, I have re-installed windows at least twice and no matter what I cannot get the sound to work correctly in VLC! :evil: Windows Media Player doesn't suffer from the issues at all, hence why I believe it to be VLC...

You get same messages with Waveout? If so, does it help if you change Windows power options to maximum performance? I changed it to waveOut and got the same issue, I have my Windows power options set to maximum performance already too... The log for comparision: main debug: processing request item ...
